Our oil & gas client located South of the River in the Jandakot/Canning Vale area is in need of a proficient Technical Document Controller to join their team! This full time role entails the creation and maintenance of work instructions and technical procedures vital for supporting the field maintenance systems of the company’s infrastructure assets.

This position works closely with other Maintenance sections in order to provide simple, safe, efficient and cost effective systems, processes and services that are consistent with their key plans and commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revise and integrate existing documents, and assess the need for new documents
  • Develop new strategies, policies, standards and procedures, and integrate existing documents that support Safety Cases, technical requirements and HSE Management Systems to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Consult stakeholders during development and integration of documents for support
  • Train personnel in relation to new processes and systems
  • Provide assistance in implementing new processes as well as modify processes to ensure relevant personnel have the required knowledge of these processes
  • Manage and updates site drawings

 
Skills/Experience Required

  • Experience in technical report/procedure development within a maintenance environment 
  • Familiar with document control systems, ideally SAP and Maximo
  • Significant success and experience in building and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including relevant authorities and industry networks
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate and competent in use of the MS suite of software including Access and Adobe Acrobat
  • Read and interpret P&ID drawings
  • Positive can-do attitude!

Hours of work are generally 7AM to 3PM, however the client is very flexible to work around your availability if you require different hours.
