Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our client for their underground operations in WA on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth. This is an exciting opportunity join one of the biggest players in the Gold Mining Industry! 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Underground Mine Manager and the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will become a vital part of the technical team. This opportunity will allow you to move within seven underground sites over time to broaden your knowledge and gain experience in a variety of rockmass conditions, time to up your game!

Key Responsibilities:

• Data collection and rockmass characterisation
• Monitoring of development performance
• Quality assurance/control of ground support
• Stope void analysis
• Monitoring/design of pillars
• Ground support/rehabilitation design
• Determination of strengths required for paste

About You

• 2+ years’ experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in a mining environment
• Demonstrated underground experience
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification
• Proficient Deswik and Map3D or equivalent software
• Full Australian Working Rights
