Open pit Project Geologist

About the company:
Our client is a rapidly growing gold producer with projects across exploration, development and production. Their WA flagship operation consists of both open pit and underground. With a significant mine life and on track for 2024 production targets this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team with a clear focus on expansion.

About the role:
Due to significant ramp up in exploration and resources definition, this newly created role will see you becoming part of a dynamic team. Your daily responsibilities will include updating of grade control models, daily tracking of production activities as well as working closely with the processing and exploration and resource definition teams. Furthermore, you will ensure that mining and geology activity reports are conducted within set timeframes. 

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in Geology and a proven ability in a open pit hard rock environment
• You will be a self-motivated individual that thrives in a team environment and enjoy building strong relationships across all technical departments.
• The ideal candidate will be confident in using Surpac and Leapfrog.
• Possess excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and report writing skills
• Pro-active approach and planning, ensuring effective communication between departments.

Must have the right to live and work in Australia
Current National Police Clearance
Current Australian drivers license
