Property / Real-Estate Lawyer – Associate or Senior

Spanning two partners, this is a crucial hire to allow for continued growth of the practice. Well-resources across the junior and support levels, they are targeting a 2iC to positively influence both the technical and cultural development of the team.

Importantly though, this does not mean that you will be curtailed into just building the two partners’ practices. Rather, they have outlined their interest in ideally attracting someone with a growth mindset who wants to develop their own book to compliment that of the current partners.

They have no intention of limiting growth of your own practice and will encourage, support and upskill (if required) you to be building your own networks – so critical in building a practice in WA property.

Existing practice spans transactions, including strata and tourism, property development, and leasing, with particular strengths in the latter in the retail sector. This will equally suit if you have a focus / interest in one or all of these areas, as other resources can be deployed accordingly.

While with a firm of global significance, experience suggests that the hands-on and front-line nature of this practice will best suit if you are currently in a mid-tier or boutique property law practice. You will be well supported by the resources of a large firm though across marketing, systems and development opportunities.

You will bring at least 3-4 yrs’ post admission experience (ideally 5+), and have strong academics on your law degree. PEXA knowledge, applied to commercial transactions rather than residential conveyancing etc, is required.
