Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

• Client side role – ports and maritime industry
• Reporting to the Manager Civil Engineering, undertake, support, and manage the design and the asset management function of new and existing assets at the bulk/jetty terminal and all outer harbour assets.
• Ensure that all assets are safe to operate and maintain and comply with statutory requirements and national standards
• Support the technical review of development applications and commercial agreements
• Technical evaluation of engineering or project delivery tenders
• Manage engineering consultants engaged for studies, design, and other projects
• Ensure engineering records on each project are compiled and retained including feasibility assessments, justification, execution, project summary and review of performance
• Provide input into the development of the yearly maintenance program for all civil and structural assets and liaise with the Asset Strategy branch regarding prioritisation of maintenance projects
• Provide input into the long term anticipated maintenance expenditure program
• Monday to Friday permanent role – 40 hours per week

Ideally looking for a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with 5-10 years experience in bulk materials handling or ports and maritime infrastructure
You will have experience in analysing data and planning projects, writing specifications and technical reports, writing tender scopes of work for Engineering Services and related scopes for Delivery of Projects.
