About the company
This equal employer mining producer is looking for Senior Surveyor to join their leadership team at a newly established open pit operation. They are passionate about creating clean energy for the future.
About the role
You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all mine survey plans on the mine site. Your key focus will be leading the Surveying team (4 Direct Reports) to maintain and measure all spatial data and control on site. You will be responsible for management of the GPS base station system and management of the Fleet Management System HPGPS data and the Mine Surface Model.

Requirements
- Must have a Grade 2 Authorized Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency – Western Australia
- Ability to train and mentor junior staff to upskill the teams’ technical skills
- Proven experience in hard rock open pit mining, at a minimum eight years.
- Working knowledge of Surpac, Vulcan, Trimble, RTK GPS, Total Stations and laser scanners
- Experience in maintaining and operating Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
