We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Superintendent to join our underground mining team. This pivotal role is responsible for managing Production, Geotechnical, Ventilation, and Projects teams to ensure timely delivery of mine plan objectives while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage technical teams, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Review and manage all technical projects to meet statutory and business requirements.
  • Supervise contractors and project personnel.
  • Monitor and enhance daily mine performance through proactive interventions.
  • Develop and implement practical business improvements.
  • Support senior management in achieving strategic mine development goals.
  • Analyse and report on mining operational performance, identifying early intervention requirements.
  • Communicate schedules and plans clearly to Engineers, Foremen, and Shift Supervisors.
  • Mentor and develop engineering and technical staff through coaching and performance appraisals.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
  • Extensive underground production and planning experience, particularly in narrow vein mining.
  • WA First Class Mine Manager Certification (preferred) with underground practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of various mining methods and a proven track record in leading technical teams.
  • Proficiency in mine planning and design software, such as Deswik CAD, Scheduler, and Ventsim.
  • A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
