Underground HD Fitter

Scotford Fennessy are currently in need of a number of experienced Heavy Duty Fitters for at an exciting new Underground Site at one of Australia’s top Gold Producers.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

• 7:7 and 2:1 roster available 
• $85.00p/hr + super (depending on your experience level) 
• weekly pay every Wednesday, super paid on all hours 
• Day & Night Shift  
• Modern Workshops & Facilities
• Excellent safety record & management systems

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Scheduled Service’s, minor rebuilds & ongoing preventative maintenance to a medium fleet of Sandvik, Epiroc and Normet underground machinery.  
• Diagnose, Problem solve & Fault find
• Identify, interpret & repair for reuse any parts & accessories
• Meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes in a busy, fully equipped modern workshop
• Able to work in a multi-cultural work environment

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate – mechanical / Mobile Plant 
• Current / Valid C Class Drivers License 
• National Police Clearance (within 12 months valid)
• Recent proven experience in underground heavy mining equipment maintenance (highly regarded)
• Highly developed troubleshooting & diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work un-supervised at times
