An opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or Finance Administrator to join a well-established Western Australian business servicing the mining and industrial sectors.

Working within a small finance team this is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and being an integral part of a close-knit office environment.

Initially offered on a temporary basis, there is genuine potential for the role to transition into a permanent opportunity for the right person.

Core responsibilities

  • Credit card processing and reconciliations
  • Managing the accounts inbox and responding to enquiries
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Accounts payable and general bookkeeping support
  • Preparing customer statements and maintaining financial records
  • Account reconciliations
  • Supporting multiple branch locations remotely
  • Assisting with routine month-end administration
  • Providing general finance and administrative support to the Finance Manager
  • Contributing to broader accounting responsibilities as the role develops

About you

You may come from a Senior Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, Finance Administrator, Accounts Administrator or Assistant Accountant background and enjoy working within small to medium-sized businesses where no two days are the same.

You will ideally bring experience across:

  • Bookkeeping and accounts administration
  • Accounts payable and reconciliations
  • Customer and supplier liaison
  • ERP systems (Jim2 experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Microsoft Excel and Outlook

You will also possess:

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, hands-on approach
  • The ability to work autonomously and prioritise competing tasks
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Full Australian working rights

Particulars

  • Salary circa $85k–$95k + super, depending on experience, hourly rate equivalent on Temp
