A well-established and growing Australian mining company with WA operations is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the finance team.

This is a hands-on, high-volume AP role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working autonomously, and delivering accurate outcomes under pressure.

You will be joining a supportive finance team and stepping into a well-structured environment where you can add immediate value.

Key Responsibilities

  • High-volume processing of supplier invoices (approx. 60–70 per day)
  • Reviewing and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
  • Maintaining supplier master data
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers

About You

  • Proven experience in high-volume accounts payable mining environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach
  • Full Australian working rights required
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA (recent SAP in mining considered)

Particulars

  • Location: Perth (office-based)
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 + superannuation commensurate with experience and capabilities
  • Duration: 12 months fixed-term contract
  • Requirement to complete medical and National Police Check
