Alternate Underground Manager

The role: Alternate Underground Manager
This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growing KCGM underground mine, providing hands-on leadership to operational and technical teams while safely executing the mining plan.

• 8/6 roster, 12-hour days
• Residential in Kalgoorlie (relocation covered) or FIFO ex Perth

As Alternate Underground Manager, you will:

• Lead and supervise operational and technical services teams, including mining contractors
• Drive safe delivery of development metres, ore production and infrastructure upgrades
• Partner with geology, planning and production engineering to develop forecasts and strategy
• Manage underground technical teams to deliver budgeted tonnes and ounces
• Champion a safety-first culture and proactively mitigate risk
•  Analyse operational performance and implement early interventions
•  Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support planned mine growth
• Develop and mentor your direct reports through coaching and performance management

About you: 

• WA Underground First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
• Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated underground hard-rock mining leadership experience
• Strong understanding of WA Mining WHS Regulations and Act
• Proven cost, project and people management capability
•  A values-driven leader committed to long-term growth

Seasoned senior mining engineers (3+ years’ experience) ready to step up are encouraged to apply.
