About the Role
 
This position plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data across a diverse and fast-paced organisation. You’ll be responsible for a broad range of transactional and reconciliation tasks, contributing to payroll processes, financial reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Accounting Duties

  • Perform bank, debtor, and supplier reconciliations
  • Manage invoice entry, supplier payments, and sales journals
  • Oversee clearing accounts, prepayments, and inter-company loans
  • Assist with payroll processing and leave entitlements (excluding long service leave)
  • Handle accruals for income and expenses
  • Prepare and lodge IAS, BAS, and payroll tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with superannuation and payroll obligations
  • Reconcile GST, wages, and payroll tax

Financial Reporting & Reconciliations

  • Assist with profit & loss and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support reconciliations for stock, fixed assets, and long service leave
  • Contribute to FBT reconciliations and assist with management reports
  • Participate in consolidated group reporting


About You

  • 3 years experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role in public practice 
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting or Finance (or currently completing)
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles and reconciliation practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Excel
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Clear communicator with a proactive, can-do attitude
