Business Development Manager
Working within a structured sales process, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing and winning new business opportunities, before handing accounts over to internal account managers for ongoing support.
Core functions of the role:
- Generate your own activity, pipeline and momentum
- Operate with significant autonomy
- Manage your own travel schedule and working hours
- Maintain consistent performance and activity levels
Approximately 50% travel is anticipated in the WA region, planned around your own schedule.
About you
Ideally seeking an experienced new business development professional with a background in mining, industrial, safety or medical consumables, and a proven ability to build a territory from the ground up. You will be self-managed, resilient and confident travelling regularly as part of your approach.
- Demonstrated experience generating opportunities
- A history of driving outbound activity
- Proven capability managing high personal KPI expectations (call volumes, site visits or activity-based targets)
- Experience building business across a variety of customers rather than relying on a small number of major accounts
- Confidence establishing new relationships, opening doors and operating without inbound leads
- Full Australian Working Rights
The client is significantly motivated to engage the right person, and will negotiate a salary circa $150,000 – $180,000 + superannuation commensurate with capabilities and experience. Kindly note, there is no bonus.
