Full Job Description

Scotford Fennessy are currently recruiting experienced Underground Charge Up Operators to join a well-established underground mining operation in Western Australia.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced underground operators looking for a long-term opportunity with a quality mining operation, strong team culture and the chance to secure a permanent position after 6 months.
With multiple roles available across the operation, this opportunity would suit operators looking to join an established team with future progression opportunities both on site and across additional operations.

The Role

• Complete underground development and production charging activities
• Prepare and carry out charge up activities safely and efficiently
• Assist with blast preparation and underground production requirements
• Maintain equipment and report any issues impacting operations
• Work closely with underground crews to achieve safe and efficient production outcomes
• Maintain strong housekeeping and safety standards

What You Need

• Previous underground Charge Up experience
• Valid WA Shotfirer’s Licence
• Experience with ANFO and/or emulsion charging
• Previous underground mining experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues
• Dangerous Goods Security Card
• Working at Heights ticket
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening
• Strong safety focus and positive attitude
