Civil Engineer

• Mid-sized civil and structural engineering consultancy who is an employer of choice, with flexible working practices, social culture and plenty of ongoing training and support
• Master planning advice and development application support (concept designs, costing options, management plans, infrastructure designs and flood assessments), as well as detailed design for construction of civil works and infrastructure.
• Also offer construction phase supervision, certification and contract administration.
• Projects include; public parklands, residential subdivisions, high rise towers, commercial/industrial precincts and public infrastructure projects.
• Take ownership of projects and manage their delivery, or work on components of larger projects

Some typical day to day duties could include;

• Completing design reporting for stormwater, flooding, infrastructure capacity assessments and infrastructure connections.
• Preparing/managing Civil Engineering reports for Development Applications;
• Taking a lead role in project design and coordination for Development Application stage and design coordination.
• Using hydrologic / hydraulic / water quality modelling software to assess development sites;
• Working with engineers, designers, drafters and site inspectors within the civil engineering team.
• Preparing/managing design for earthworks, roadworks, stormwater pipework, sewer systems and water reticulation networks;
• Meeting with Clients and liaising with stakeholders such as Councils and State Authorities;
• Visiting a diverse range of construction sites

Ideally seeking 4-5 years experience in a QLD consulting engineering consultancy and a Civil Engineering Degree. Software – DRAINS, MUSIC, 12D.
Will also consider Senior Engineers and Designers.
