An opportunity exists for a technically capable and operationally minded Continuous Improvement Analyst to support improvement initiatives across a large-scale mining operation.

This is a commercially engaging and operationally focused role, sitting between site operations, project governance and business improvement. The position will support stakeholders across multiple operational departments, helping structure, track and communicate improvement initiatives while providing analytical and reporting support to leadership teams.

The role combines project support, operational analysis and executive reporting, rather than being a purely technical data or heavy Lean transformation position.

Core functions of the role include:

  • Supporting operational projects through governance, tracking and co-ordination
  • Assisting stakeholders with project structure, reporting and progress management
  • Conducting Excel-based analysis, benefits calculations and operational modelling
  • Preparing executive-level PowerPoint presentations and reporting packs
  • Supporting business case development and improvement initiatives
  • Working with operational stakeholders to identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities
  • Participating in weekly project and operational meetings
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities across operational departments

About you

You are analytically strong, commercially minded and enjoy working closely with operational stakeholders to solve problems and improve outcomes. You are comfortable balancing technical work with communication, reporting and project support responsibilities.

  • Advanced Excel capability including modelling and analysis
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation preparation skills
  • Exposure to project co-ordination, PMO or project support environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Ability to translate operational or technical information into structured reporting outputs
  • Mining, resources or operational industry exposure desirable
  • Exposure to continuous improvement or business improvement environments
  • Lean / Six Sigma exposure desirable 
  • Power BI or reporting tool exposure
  • Experience supporting operational or site-based stakeholders

Particulars

  • FIFO 4/3 roster
  • Initial 3-month contract engagement with strong potential for extension
  • Competitive hourly rate equivalent to circa $120,000 – $140,000 + superannuation depending on experience
  • Must hold full Australian working rights
  • Pre-employment medical and police clearance required
