We are seeking a mid-senior level Database Geologist (acQuire) to join our clients Exploration team. This is an opportunity to work for one of the leading names in WA Gold Mining, in their Perth-based office. 

Embedded within the Geology team and dedicated to supporting exploration activities, you will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting ongoing programs, and ensuring reliable, high-quality geological data is available for decision-making. You will work closely with field exploration geologists and receive guidance from an existing Database lead, while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Managing and maintaining the acQuire geological database to support exploration activities
  • Troubleshooting database issues and implementing timely, practical solutions
  • Running queries and extracting data to support geological interpretation and reporting
  • Performing QAQC checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
  • Validating drilling, sampling, and assay data in line with company standards
  • Supporting data workflows between field teams, laboratories, and internal stakeholders
  • Assisting in improving database structures, templates, and processes where required
  • Collaborating with geology and GIS teams across multiple projects and jurisdictions
  • Ensuring data is well-governed, accessible, and fit for purpose

About You

You are a highly capable and self-sufficient database geologist with strong acQuire expertise and a solid understanding of exploration workflows. You are comfortable stepping into a busy environment, quickly getting up to speed, and delivering immediate value.
You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences
  • Approximately 5–10 years’ experience in exploration or resource geology, with a strong focus on database management
  • Demonstrated expertise in acQuire, including database maintenance, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of drilling, sampling, QAQC, and geological data workflows
  • Proven ability to manage and validate large datasets 
  • Full Australian Working Rights
