Scotford Fennessy has partnered with a leading mining operator currently seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join a well-established operation in Western Australia on an 8:6 day shift, 7:7 night shift roster.

Working within a multi-disciplinary maintenance team, this role is responsible for the upkeep of fixed plant electrical and instrumentation assets, ensuring all work is completed safely and supports reliable plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade qualified in Electrical & Instrumentation
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve faults across electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, VSDs, MCCs and motor control systems
  • Skilled in calibration, maintenance and fault-finding of field instrumentation (pressure, flow, level, temperature, analysers, density)
  • Familiar with a range of control systems such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, Yokogawa or Honeywell
  • Competent in interpreting technical drawings including schematics, loop diagrams and cable schedules
  • Background in both preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support within a processing plant

What We’re Looking For:

  • WA Electrical Licence (A Grade), Cert IV Instrumentation & HV Switching essential
  • Current Driver’s Licence (WA)
  • EWP, CPR & LV Rescue tickets required
  • Proven fixed plant processing experience
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
  • Strong team focus with a safety-first mindset
  • PRONTO and MS Office experience desirable
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment medical and police clearance
