Emergency Service Officer

Scotford Fennessy Recruitment are seeking experienced Emergency Services Officers to support underground mining operations across Western Australia.

This opportunity will suit a confident and capable ESO who is comfortable working autonomously, managing emergency response requirements and providing frontline medical support in a remote mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical response and patient care across site
• Conduct drug and alcohol testing, health surveillance and medical assessments
• Maintain emergency response readiness and equipment
• Participate in mine rescue and emergency response activities
• Support site health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
• Respond effectively to medical incidents and emergencies as the primary healthcare provider on site

What We’re Looking For

• Previous underground mining experience (essential)
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as an ESO in a remote mining environment
• Certificate IV in Health Care (or higher)
• Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
• Current BG4 Underground Search & Rescue Closed Circuit Breathing Apparatus qualification (essential)
• HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
• Strong emergency response, patient assessment and decision-making skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with personnel across all levels of site
