We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSET Advisor to join our client’s mining operations team. This role will see you working across multiple sites and projects, providing consistent HSET support while promoting a strong safety culture. You will play a key role in risk management, incident investigation, workforce training, and ensuring compliance across varying operational environments, particularly within load and haul activities.

Key Responsibilities Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HSET support and guidance across multiple mine sites and projects
  • Promote and drive a positive safety culture aligned with company values
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Facilitate and participate in pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
  • Lead incident investigations using ICAM methodology and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain and manage safety data and reporting within INX systems
  • Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments for operators and personnel
  • Support and deliver training and assessments in line with site requirements
  • Monitor compliance with statutory and company HSET requirements across all assigned sites
  • Assist with the development and continuous improvement of HSET procedures and systems
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to supervisors and operators on safe work practices

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in mineral resources mining operations
  • Demonstrated experience working within load and haul environments
  • Proven experience conducting VOC assessments
  • Strong working knowledge of INX safety systems
  • Experience conducting incident investigations using ICAM methodology
  • Sound understanding of HSET legislation, standards, and best practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively across multiple sites and project environments
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a dynamic site environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Relevant HSET qualifications (e.g. Cert IV in Work Health & Safety or higher)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
