Field Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Field Technician to join our client on site in the Kalgoorlie Region on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth. This is an exciting opportunity join one of the biggest players in the Gold Mining Industry! 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Geology Supervisor, the ideal candidate will have prior experience in Diamond Core Processing, however you will need to be a dynamic worker who can adapt to a variety of geological assistant tasks. This is a great chance to develop your skillset both in the field and on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with RC and Diamond Core drill rig work
• Conduct comprehensive and preliminary fieldwork
• Collect and process geo samples such as metre marking, orientation, and core cutting and sampling
• Preparing and maintaining drill sites, including pegging
• Analysing and photographing chip trays
• Using software lice ArcGIS and AcQuire
• Helping rehabilitation works

About You

• Previous experience as a Field Technician
• Previous experience working with Diamond Core Drilling
• Hands-on experience managing multiple drill rigs
• Manual Driving License 
• Forklift or Telehandler ticket and experience
