Are you an experienced and confident HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with leaders across site-based and corporate teams? This Senior People Advisor role is key to supporting operational success and requires someone with strong ER/IR knowledge and the ability to hit the ground running.
What you will be doing…
- Provide generalist HR support and advisory services to allocated business units.
- Support and guide performance management, employee engagement, learning, and development.
- Review and update HR policies to ensure compliance and relevance.
- Handle employee relations matters including investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Deliver remuneration and salary review processes in line with internal strategies.
- Maintain accurate HR systems, records, and employee data.
- Roll out and support people-related initiatives and training programs.
- Collaborate with the broader People Team and key stakeholders.
- Interpret and advise on Awards, legislation, and internal policies.
- Support injury management and return-to-work processes.
- Complete HR administrative tasks including contracts and employment changes.
- Contribute to reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement activities.
- Coach and support leaders in effective people management.
Experience required…
- Tertiary qualification in HR, ER, or related field (or equivalent experience), with 3–5 years in a similar role, ideally within the resources sector.
- Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills with the ability to engage across all levels.
- Solid understanding of employment and industrial relations legislation, with experience in performance management and compliance.
- Well-developed planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms, with experience in reporting and workflows.
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence; operational HR experience in mining is desirable.
