Our client within the heavy equipment services industry is currently seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join their close-knit team.

This varied role will see you supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, while also assisting with reconciliations, reporting and general finance administration.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of finance, takes pride in accuracy and enjoys investigating and resolving discrepancies.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Administration 
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, reconciliations and account maintenance
  • Experience using Xero
  • Exposure to operational or logistics software such as VisD will be highly regarded
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

  • Processing supplier invoices and supporting Accounts Payable activities
  • Daily banking, receipting and allocation of customer payments
  • Raising customer invoices and credit notes
  • Reviewing aged debtors and following up outstanding customer balances
  • Performing weekly customer ledger reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
  • Processing customer credit applications and conducting credit checks
  • Assisting with credit-related investigations and dispute resolution
  • Reporting on aged debtors and customers on stop credit
  • Reconciling supplier statements and open purchase orders
  • Assisting with month-end activities, including accruals and reporting
  • Managing ledger reconciliations and unallocated funds
  • Responding to customer and supplier enquiries in a timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate customer account information and financial records
  • Providing general administrative support, data entry and compliance assistance
  • Supporting the finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting requirements

PARTICULARS 

  • $80,000 – $90,000 + superannuation
  • Full-time, in-office 
  • Parking on site 
  • Eastern suburbs location
