Finance Manager

A pivotal role, there is clear scope for you to make a real impact for an experienced, all-round accounting professional to join a reputable and growing construction and fit-out group in a key finance role. Working closely with the CFO and Director, you will play a vital part in ensuring financial accuracy, reporting integrity, and the smooth running of daily accounting operations.
  
About the opportunity:

• Manage all aspects of the accounting function, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and management reporting packs
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes and support project cost tracking
• Ensure compliance with tax, BAS, superannuation, and statutory obligations
• Liaise with external auditors and advisors as required
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency

About you:
  
The client will ideally engage an experienced Finance Manager/Senior Accountant with demonstrated relevant industry experience. 

• CPA or CA qualified
• Demonstrated experience with core functions of the role, in industry
• Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and compliance requirements
• Confident communicator with the ability to partner effectively across operations and senior management
• Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
• Full Australian Working Rights

Nice-to-have’s:

• Experience managing a small finance team or supervising others
• Multi-entity experience 
• Exposure to project accounting or job costing
• Familiarity with payroll processing and HRIS systems

The client is significantly motivated to engage the right person and will negotiate a salary based on experience and capabilities, circa $110,000 + superannuation, relevantly experienced more senior candidates are encouraged to apply and your remuneration will be discussed on a case-by case basis.
