Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across financial accounting, statutory reporting and financial compliance within a well-established resources business.

Working closely with both the corporate finance team and operational stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting the day-to-day financial management of the business.

As you would expect, day-to-day matters will include:

  • Preparing monthly financial reports and management reporting packs
  • Coordinating month-end close including journals, accruals, prepayments and general ledger reconciliations
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger
  • Managing fixed asset accounting, depreciation and capital expenditure reporting
  • Preparing and lodging BAS, PAYG, FBT and other statutory obligations
  • Assisting with statutory financial statements and year-end audit requirements
  • Managing intercompany accounting and reconciliations
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Liaising with operational stakeholders, including site finance teams, to ensure timely and accurate financial information
  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting

About You

  • Financial Accountant, Senior Accountant 
  • Demonstrated experience preparing month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Strong financial accounting and statutory reporting capability
  • General ledger, journals, accruals, reconciliations and fixed asset accounting experience
  • BAS, PAYG, FBT and Australian statutory compliance experience
  • Experience within mining, resources or a related industry highly regarded
  • Experience using Pronto or a large ERP system (SAP, Oracle, D365 F&O, Pronto etc.) highly regarded
  • CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards completion
  • Full Australian working rights are essential.

  • Location: Subiaco office near trainline 
  • Working Arrangements: Monday-Friday, full-time, office-based. No work from home. Flexibility is offered around start and finish times.
  • Parking: No onsite parking available.
  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Salary circa $120,000-$135,000 + superannuation
