Financial Controller

A rare opportunity exists for a commercially minded finance professional to join a Family & Investment Office in a newly created Financial Controller position based in Subiaco.

This is a broad and commercially engaging role operating across financial control, governance, reporting and capital management, whilst supporting a diversified portfolio of investments, entities and strategic initiatives.

Operating within a lean, high-trust environment, there is genuine scope to influence, improve and shape how the function evolves over time. The successful individual will also have the opportunity to increase their involvement across investment analysis, portfolio oversight and broader strategic decision-making as responsibilities expand.

Core functions include

• Financial and management reporting
• Treasury, cashflow and capital management
• Multi-entity and trust structure oversight
• Governance, compliance and statutory obligations
• Board and stakeholder reporting
• Property and investment-related activities
• Process improvement and reporting enhancement
• Supporting due diligence, commercial analysis and portfolio monitoring

About you

• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong financial control and reporting background
• Experience operating across complex or multi-entity environments
• Commercial mindset with an interest in broader business, capital allocation and investment activities
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capability
• Comfortable operating within a lean, high-responsibility environment
• Exposure to property, investment, funds management or family office environments
• Experience with trusts and complex ownership structures
• Financial modelling and analytical capability
• Experience improving systems, reporting or business processes
