Join one of Australia’s largest and most respected gold mining companies as an Open Pit Geologist! This opportunity is based in the Goldfields, offering an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth and the chance to advance your geology career with a major industry leader.
About the Role:
As a Mine Geologist you will be responsible for the direction and coordination of all drilling and mine geological activities in order to provide geological services to the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings, share updates, and liaise with teams to minimise ore dilution.
- Train and supervise geology staff, supporting best practices in grade control.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee grade control drilling and sampling.
- Manage and validate geological and assay data for accuracy.
- Produce grade control models and ore mark-outs for reconciliation and planning.
- Monitor costs, invoices, and improve efficiency in drilling and grade control.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Geologist in WA mining
- Tertiary Qualification in Geology
- Understanding of Sampling Theory and QAQC
- Manual Driver’s Licence
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Clean Police Clearance
