Payroll Specialist – Part-Time Ongoing Contract | Pronto | Remote / West Perth

There is clear scope to make an impact as an experienced Payroll Specialist on a part-time ongoing contract to support monthly payroll processing following the recent implementation of Pronto Xi.

The payroll currently covers approximately 10 employees and is processed monthly, with completion required by the 15th. The role sits within the finance function, working closely with the internal team, with payroll reviewed and approved by the CFO prior to payment.

This opportunity is well suited to a payroll professional seeking flexible work, including someone already supporting other organisations who has capacity to take on an additional small payroll.

The engagement is ongoing, expected to require approximately 2–3 days per month, aligned with the payroll cycle. The exact structure of these days can be discussed. 

Core functions of the role include:

• Running the monthly payroll cycle in Pronto Xi
• Processing STP lodgements and superannuation
• Processing new starters and terminations as required
• Monitoring and responding to payroll inbox enquiries
• Escalating payroll queries internally where required
• Supporting STP finalisation and payroll year-end processes
• Performing minor payroll system administration changes within Pronto
• Reviewing payroll processes and identifying process improvement opportunities

About You

• Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience
• Experience processing payroll in Pronto Xi (or strong Pronto exposure)
• Strong understanding of STP reporting and superannuation compliance
• Comfortable running payroll independently within a small payroll environment
• High attention to detail with strong compliance awareness
• Experience within mining, engineering, or resources environments
• Full Australian working rights are required

• Rate: Circa $60-$70 per hour + superannuation
