Payroll Supervisor
A pivotal role offering clear scope to make a real impact, this position suits an experienced Senior Payroll Officer / hands-on Payroll Supervisor who enjoys taking ownership of payroll within a well-established resources organisation.
Based in West Perth, the role supports a multi-entity payroll of approximately 200 employees and operates largely standalone, with close collaboration across Finance and HR.
Core responsibilities include:
- End-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities and roster types
- Processing new starters, terminations, leave, allowances and payroll adjustments
- Interpreting awards, agreements and employment conditions
- Managing payroll compliance including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and statutory reporting
- Preparing payroll reconciliations, variance reporting and clear explanations of movements
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll processes in conjunction with Finance
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data integrity
- Identifying inefficiencies and contributing to payroll process and system improvements
- Responding to payroll queries from employees, managers and internal stakeholders
About You
You take pride in accuracy, accountability and doing things properly. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys owning outcomes and improving how payroll operates day to day.
- Hands-on payroll experience within a resources or mining environment, engaging with operational and corporate stakeholders
- Excel capability required, including reconciliations, variance analysis and checking calculations independently
- End-to-end payroll experience across multi-entity and/or multi-award environments
- Payroll compliance knowledge including superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and statutory reporting
- Experience working with enterprise payroll systems
- Aurion experience strongly preferred
Full Australian working rights required
‘Nice-to-Haves’
- Experience with SAP and/or Pronto
- Experience improving payroll processes or data (the payroll environment is established but could benefit from fresh eyes, stronger structure and improved reporting)

Salary package circa $110,000 – $130,000 + superannuation + annual bonus commensurate with capabilities and experience.
