Permanent / Full TimeLocation: Perth Posted on October 09, 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established global business servicing the mining and resources sector as Payroll Supervisor within its shared services function.

Based at Perth International Airport, you will oversee payroll across five Australian entities, with weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay cycles. You will guide three onshore Payroll Officers and provide technical support to two offshore Payroll Officers.

Initially reporting to the Mobility, Compensation and Benefits Lead, the immediate priority is supporting the Micropay payroll and offshore team. The broader function operates across ADP Payforce, ADP Payline, HR3 and Micropay, with a longer-term intention to consolidate onto ADP Payforce.

The role combines ownership of day-to-day payroll with remediation, process improvements and systems integration. There is scope for the position to develop into broader management of the Australian payroll function as the transition progresses.

  • Manage month-end and financial year-end payroll reporting and reconciliations
  • Review complex calculations, including terminations, back payments and leave accruals
  • Oversee third-party payroll payments and maintaining employee data integrity
  • Resolve payroll queries and working with HR, Finance and other stakeholders
  • Support audits, historical reconciliations and remediation activities
  • Improve payroll processes, documentation and controls
  • Contribute to payroll systems integration and consolidation
  • Provide hands-on processing support during leave periods and peak workloads

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Strong end-to-end Australian payroll experience, including compliance and reconciliations
  • Experience interpreting awards and enterprise agreements across complex workforces
  • Previous responsibility for guiding payroll staff, reviewing work or resolving technical escalations
  • Ability to investigate issues independently and recommend practical solutions
  • Experience improving payroll processes, controls or systems
  • Willingness to remain hands-on while taking responsibility for broader payroll delivery
  • Clear communication and the ability to support colleagues across different locations
  • Mining, construction, civil or related industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Micropay or ADP Payforce would be valuable

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Perth International Airport location with free parking
  • Flexible working hours and two days working from home
  • Circa $130,000–$140,000 + Super, commensurate with experience, plus bonus
  • Opportunity to contribute to systems consolidation and develop broader payroll leadership responsibility
