Policy Writer

As a key part of a wider project team supporting a multimillion-dollar ERP upgrade project, you will impact its success through the conversion of developed process maps into clear, concise policies for the finance functions.

• With the first wave of this update to launch at EOFY, the ideal would be that you come on board in early 2026 on an eight-month, fixed-term contract
• This will give you plenty of runway to prepare and finesse the policy suite before launch, then sufficient time thereafter to gather feedback from the team to make iterative improvements and tweaks to ensure they are practical, fully fit-for-purpose and impactful
• Aligning with the training team and subject matter experts, it is envisaged that your efforts will ensure a smooth transition to the incoming operating model, reducing risk and ensuring consistency in approach
• With the process maps already drawn up, you will leverage your prior experience in policy writing / governance documentation to draft and refine documents that meet legal, regulatory, and governance requirements
• From there, partnering with the training team will allow these to be integrated into training materials
• A for-purpose organisation within the education sector, you will find an inclusive culture across the board
• At a project level, the Lead prefers to take a ‘hands off’ approach to management – empowering her team to run at their tasks with check-ins as required
• This will therefore suit best if you are a natural self-starter, with a solution- rather than a problem-orientated approach
• Centrally based in the CBD, the office fit-out was completed this year to a high spec

About you;

• You will have demonstrable experience in policy writing or governance documentation, particularly around taking business processes into policy frameworks
• Accounting or finance experience in the above would be very well received
• Education, government, and/or multi-site organisation experience would be preferable
