Process Operator

Scotford Fennessy is partnering with a leading mining operation in the Pilbara to source experienced Process Operators for their state-of-the-art crushing and ore sorting facility. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for safety and teamwork, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee and manage your designated section of the plant to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Complete thorough equipment and area inspections within required timeframes.
• Carry out cleaning tasks and minor maintenance duties as needed.
• Use small mobile plant to assist with clean-up and general operational support.
• Detect and report any equipment or process issues requiring preventative maintenance or repair.
• Identify hazards, address them where possible, and escalate when necessary.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in mineral processing or crushing operations (jaw and cone crushers, feeders, conveyors, screening systems, pumps, water circuits, ore sorters).
• Exposure to control room operations is a bonus.
• Understanding of isolation and permitting procedures.
• Current WA driver’s licence (HR highly regarded).
• Tickets for mobile equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or EWP will set you apart.
• Confined space and working at heights certifications are advantageous.
• A proactive attitude, strong safety mindset, and ability to work well in a diverse team.
• Experience with large wheel loaders (CAT 980) is highly desirable.
