Project Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Project Engineer to join a well-established Australian gold producer with a strong reputation for operational excellence, continued growth and investment in its people and operations.

This role offers the flexibility to work on a FIFO roster from Perth or Perth based, while providing the opportunity to manage a variety of capital projects from concept through to completion.

About the Role

Reporting into the Engineering team, you will take ownership of multiple capital projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing capital projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Preparing project scopes, timelines and cost estimates.
• Obtaining quotations and sourcing suppliers and contractors.
• Managing project expenditure and monitoring budgets.
• Coordinating project schedules and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities to improve project delivery and cost efficiencies.
• Ensuring projects are completed safely and in accordance with company standards.

About You 

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer within underground mining.
• A sound understanding of project delivery and capital expenditure.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• A proactive approach to sourcing suppliers and managing project outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
