Own a Unique Project Where Quarrying, Logistics, Quality and Stakeholder Management Come Together

Our client, a leading national construction materials producer, is launching a new quarry operation near Geraldton to supply a noted infrastructure project.

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of project delivery, customer engagement and operational coordination across the life of the contract through to June 2028.

WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

  • Be the key leader responsible for project outcomes and client satisfaction
  • Join a project at the beginning, not midway through delivery
  • Take ownership of a complex and highly visible contract
  • Significant autonomy and variety every day
  • Work directly with senior operational leaders and project stakeholders
  • Exposure to quarry operations, infrastructure delivery and supply chain management
  • Fixed-term project through to 30 June 2028
  • Geraldton-based role with flexibility considered for strong candidates
  • Opportunity to build your reputation through successful delivery of a nationally important project

THE OPPORTUNITY

This project involves producing and delivering large volumes of granite material for an offshore infrastructure project.

Success will depend on maintaining strict quality control, managing unique biosecurity requirements, coordinating production schedules and ensuring contractual commitments are delivered safely and on time.

You will act as the primary interface between the customer and site operations while working closely with the Quarry Manager and broader project team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage project delivery and contractual commitments
  • Coordinate production, logistics and delivery schedules
  • Maintain customer relationships and project communications
  • Lead quality assurance and biosecurity requirements
  • Monitor project performance and reporting
  • Coordinate contractors and key project stakeholders
  • Support safe production outcomes across the quarry operation
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Proven project management experience in an operational environment
  • Strong stakeholder and client-management capability
  • Experience coordinating contractors and multiple workstreams
  • Commercial awareness and delivery focus
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A practical approach to solving problems in the field

An SSE qualification (or ability to get one) will be needed. A Quarry Manager certification or S26 statutory supervisor experience will be highly regarded, although successful project leadership experience is considered equally valuable.
