Scotford Fennessy is partnering with a well-established WA mining services contractor delivering shutdowns, maintenance and project works across major resource operations throughout Western Australia.
Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of awarded works, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of fixed plant maintenance, shutdown and project execution activities across multiple operational sites.
This is not a traditional office-based Project Manager position.
The successful candidate will be a practical, hands-on leader who enjoys building client relationships, supporting site teams and taking ownership of projects from initial engagement through to successful completion.
This opportunity will suit someone who has progressed through the mining industry, understands fixed plant operations and is comfortable balancing project delivery, commercial outcomes, stakeholder engagement and operational leadership.
About the Role
- Manage the delivery of fixed plant shutdown, maintenance and project works across multiple WA mining operations
- Lead project planning, execution, reporting and close-out activities
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships across operational sites
- Drive quoting, estimating and tender submission activities
- Coordinate workforce planning, mobilisation and resource allocation requirements
- Work closely with planning, procurement and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Facilitate shutdown planning, scheduling and progress meetings
- Mentor and support Supervisors and execution teams across multiple work fronts
- Monitor project performance, commercial outcomes and client expectations
- Support business growth through identifying opportunities and developing ongoing work pipelines
- Provide hands-on operational support where required
About You
- Trade Qualification or relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within mining maintenance, shutdowns or project environments
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager, Superintendent, Supervisor or similar leadership position
- Strong fixed plant maintenance and shutdown experience
- Proven experience managing project delivery across operational mining environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management capability
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary workforces
- Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and commercial awareness
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Full Australian Working Rights
