Senior Contract Specialist

A pivotal role, there is clear scope for you to make a real impact as a Senior Contracts Specialist in this prominent mining services contractor, supporting multiple operational projects from their Perth-based office, with occasional site travel. 

As you would expect, day-to-day matters will span a mixture of drafting, documentation, stakeholder coordination and commercial problem-solving across several concurrent projects.

Core functions of the role include:

• Preparing and issuing contract correspondence, notices and documentation
• Developing and coordinating variations, claims and contract changes
• Liaising with project, estimating, finance and operational teams
• Monitoring contractual issues, obligations and performance requirements
• Maintaining accurate records, registers and commercial files
• Assisting with contract close-out and ongoing process improvement work

About you

You are an experienced contracts specialist with a background in mining, resources, construction or similar project-driven environments.

You bring strong drafting capability, clear written communication, disciplined record-keeping and confidence interpreting contract clauses across complex operational settings. You are comfortable working autonomously while coordinating inputs from various teams, and able to manage matters across several projects simultaneously.

A tertiary qualification in Law, Business Law, Construction or a related field is required, along with full Australian working rights.

Salary package circa $190,000 + superannuation, commensurate with experience and capability.
