Senior Mine Geologist

Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you’ll play a key role in supporting open-pit mine operations. You will be responsible for developing geological models, overseeing grade control, and providing input into mine planning to optimize ore recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update geological models, perform resource estimation, and integrate data for pit optimization.
- Oversee grade control, assess ore/waste boundaries, and work with mining teams to maximize recovery.
- Reconcile geological data, ensure quality, and prepare reports.
- Provide input for mine planning, collaborating with engineering on pit design.
- Analyze geological data, update models, and interpret field observations.
- Lead and mentor geologists, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and engineering teams on geological challenges.
- Prepare technical reports and support audits and feasibility studies.
About You:
- At least 5 years of experience in open-pit gold mining.
- Previous experience as a Senior Geologist
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Geology.
- Proficiency in geological modelling software (e.g., Vulcan, Datamine, Leapfrog.
- Hold a valid Manual Driver’s Licence.
- Australian working rights and a clean police clearance.
