As a Senior Mine Geologist, you will take ownership of the geology function across an open pit panel, leading a talented team of geologists and technicians to deliver timely and accurate geological data that drives production and strategic decision-making. Your remit will span from short- to medium-term planning, grade control, and reconciliation through to drill planning and resource estimation. You’ll play a key role in streamlining geological workflows, ensuring data integrity, and aligning your team’s output with operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily and medium-term geological activities, including 3-month scheduling and drill program planning
  • Manage end-of-month grade reconciliation and reporting
  • Maintain and improve geological systems, data quality and sampling practices
  • Provide geological interpretations and support resource estimation activities
  • Oversee and develop a high-performing open pit geology team
  • Support administrative and cost tracking tasks related to geology operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, production, and technical teams to optimise outcomes

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related discipline
  • Proven experience in open pit gold mining geology
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of grade control, sampling protocols, and reconciliation processes
