About the Company
Our client is a well-established ASX-listed gold producer with operations in Western Australia and the eastern states. Their flagship operation is located in the Gascoyne region and currently produces approximately 85,000 ounces of gold annually. With exciting plans underway to develop and bring a number of new underground mining areas online in the next 12 months, the business is entering a strong growth phase.
About the Role
Reporting to the Underground Mine Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the planning and optimisation of underground operations. You’ll be responsible for producing short, medium, and long-term mine designs and schedules, and for mentoring junior engineers as part of a growing Technical Services team.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of mine plans and area development designs, enabling the team to meet or exceed production targets. This is an opportunity to bring forward new ideas, improve planning systems and processes, and make a meaningful impact on operational outcomes.

Requirements
- A degree in Mining Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in underground hard-rock mining
- Proficiency in Deswik (CAD and Scheduler)
- Solid background in mine design, scheduling and evaluation
- Exposure to both production and planning roles
- Strong mentoring, communication, and coordination skills
- First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate (desirable)
- Current valid driver’s license
