Senior Specialist Underground Mine Engineer (Studies & Projects)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Underground Mine Engineer to join a leading gold producer in a Perth based corporate role.

Offering a Monday to Friday roster with occasional site travel, this position provides the opportunity to influence major underground mining projects while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of being home every night.

Reporting to the Studies Manager, you will play a key role in delivering underground mining studies across a portfolio of operating assets. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will provide technical expertise across underground mine optimisation, paste fill projects, mine design, scheduling, cost modelling and feasibility studies, helping shape future mining operations from concept through to execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support underground mining studies and technical evaluations.
• Deliver mine optimisation initiatives through data analysis and trade-off studies.
• Develop underground mine designs, schedules and cost models.
• Provide technical input into Concept, PFS and Feasibility Studies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project inputs and support study governance.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership across underground mining and paste fill projects.

About You You will hold a Mining Engineering degree (or equivalent) and bring approximately 8-10 years’ experience in underground mine planning, technical studies or project engineering. Exposure to feasibility studies, mine optimisation, underground design and scheduling is essential, while experience with paste fill operations will be highly regarded.

Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and the ability to collaborate across technical disciplines are key to success in this role.
