Senior Resource Definition Geologist

We are seeking an operations-focused Senior Resource Definition Geologist to join our client’s successful drilling programme. In this role, you will lead drilling operations, coordination and logistics, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational and resource development priorities.

Working closely with geology, mining, and drilling contractors, you will play a key role in optimising drilling performance, improving workflows, and ensuring high-quality data is captured to support ongoing resource development.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You’ll play a central role in coordinating drilling activities and ensuring smooth program delivery, including:

• Leading the planning, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination of underground and surface drilling programs
• Manage drilling contractors to ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective execution
• Align drilling activities with geology, mining, and operational priorities
• Monitor performance, progress, and costs, driving continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and regulations
• Oversee sample collection and dispatch to maintain data quality and timeliness
• Resolve operational issues to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
• Support timely delivery of drilling data for geological interpretation
• Mentor and guide junior team members in field coordination and activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences
• WHS Risk Management certification (or ability to obtain)
• 7+ years’ experience in resource definition or exploration geology
• Proven experience coordinating and delivering resource definition drilling programs
• 3+ years in WA Gold mining
