Senior Surveyor – Open Pit

THE SITE

This will be on an owner/operator site with a diverse, atypical mining and mining services company. Relatively early days for operations, you will have a chance to be involved with both production support and some expansion project work.

YOUR ROLE

Expect to partner closely with the wider tech services team but with the remit to take ownership of the survey function. You’ll drive your own end of months, support operations, and report on accuracy against mine plans (pit progress, material & waste movement).

This will particularly appeal if you are still in the upswing of your career; you know what good looks like, and are looking to somewhere to impart that knowledge. Processes, policies, and systems are functional at this point, however could do with further development.

IMPACT

Keen to drive improvements. This will present an opportunity to make your mark on this line  but while also not being constrained. The ‘one team’ approach will allow you to be involved with other streams, in turn presenting opportunity to be an integral part of the wider success of the project.
  
KEY DETAILS

• 8/6 roster – FIFO Perth or DIDO Kalgoorlie / surrounds
• Contract, permanent, or temp to perm possible
• Open pit gold project with near site exploration targets
• Multi-project business – present opportunity for redeployment and or promotion across the stable

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary Qualifications (Bachelor or Diploma) in Surveying and at least 5 years’ experience in mine surveying – gold and open pit both featuring through this
• Authorisation as a Mine Surveyor (Grade 1 or 2)
• Comfort with mine planning software and surveying instrumentation / software
• Only candidates with full Australian Working Rights can be considered for this opportunity
