Scotford Fennessy is currently seeking experienced Shotfirers for multiple open-pit mining operations across Western Australia, with opportunities available in both the Goldfields and Pilbara regions.

These FIFO positions offer a choice of rosters, including 2/1 and 8/6, competitive hourly rates, and excellent camp facilities. If you’re looking for your next long-term opportunity with reputable mining clients, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

  • Carrying out safe and efficient charging and blasting activities
  • Bucket loading and blast hole stemming
  • Working with both electronic and non-electric detonator systems
  • Following blast plans and maintaining strict compliance with site safety procedures
  • Working collaboratively with production and drill crews to ensure blasting activities are completed safely and on schedule

What is Required from you

  • WA Shotfirer’s Licence – essential
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card – essential
  • HR Driver’s Licence – desirable
  • Experience with cast boosters, electronic and non-electric detonators
  • Previous open-pit mining experience preferred
  • Strong safety focus and ability to work well within a team
