Shovel Operator

Scotford Fennessy is currently seeking experienced Production Shovel Operators for an exciting opportunity with a leading mining client in the Pilbara.
Working on a magnetite operation near Marble Bar, this is a great opportunity for experienced operators looking to secure a long-term position with the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment.

About the role:

• Operating large production excavators safely and efficiently
• Loading dump trucks in a high-volume production environment
• Excavating ore bodies, berms and pit walls to design
• Mining benches and cutting batters to design specifications
• Completing pre-start inspections and maintaining high housekeeping standards

To be successful, you will need:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Production Excavator Operator
• Proven experience operating Hitachi EX3600, CAT 6060 or equivalent
• Experience loading dump trucks in a production environment
• Sound understanding of ore mark-ups and pit configuration
• Ability to work to mine design and achieve production targets
• Current Australian working rights
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
