You will lead a team of approximately 15 survey professionals and play a key role in shaping surveying across underground, open pit, surface and project activities.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing survey function while partnering closely with operational and technical leaders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of approximately 15 survey professionals
- Building capability and developing future survey leaders
- Providing oversight across underground, open pit, surface and project survey activities
- Fulfilling statutory requirements
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and professional survey standards
- Supporting safe and efficient mining operations through accurate spatial data
- Driving continuous improvement and the adoption of emerging survey technologies
- Working with drones, scanning technologies, spatial data systems and modern survey equipment
- Partnering with operational and technical leaders to improve decision-making and support future growth

About You To be successful in this position, you will have:
- WA Grade 1 Authorized Mine Surveyor accreditation
- A tertiary qualification in Surveying, such as a Degree or Advanced Diploma
- Extensive mine surveying experience
- Experience across both underground and open pit mining environments
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing survey teams
- Strong understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and managing statutory survey submissions
- Experience managing survey systems, spatial data and operational reporting
- Proficiency with Deswik or similar mine planning and survey software
Experience with larger survey teams, multidisciplinary functions, drones, photogrammetry, CMS and modern spatial technologies will be highly regarded.
