Joining a specialist division of a large, multinational steel company, your focus will be on selling a higher-outlay, longer lasting line to miners, mining contractors, and mining services businesses. A solution orientated sales approach will set you up for success, being able to position customers to understand the benefits over the full lifecycle.
With the size of the organisation, you can expect to be well supported in technical training, marketing and resourcing lines. Ultimately though, you will excel in this through being on-site, talking directly to end-users around their maintenance challenges and how you can solve them. Additionally, there will be opportunity to negotiate with large procurement teams on the Terrace at the enterprise level.
Due to the nature of the product, there’s been a track record of Reps with a boilermaker, fabricator, or metallurgy background performing highly – facilitating better rapport with end-users and/or deeper technical understanding. However, those from other backgrounds who bring a strong grasp of maintenance models and programs, and the ability to get on site, will also be suitable.
With a foothold in the market, there is significant upside potential in capturing more of the significant wallet share in the industry. In return, the size and entrepreneurial nature of the organisation means that success can be rewarded through multiple channels, providing a range of promotional opportunities.
Key details:
- Combination of new business development and account management
- Territory is primarily WA, may be some prospect to extend into SA
- Travel encouraged, with expectations sitting at the circa two weeks in six
- $110 – 125k salary plus quarterly, performance-based bonus and vehicle
- SOR HQ.
Requirements:
- You will bring a proven record of B2B sales in a mining, mining services, and/or OEM setting.
- Valid licence and willingness to travel are required.
