Join a leading open pit mining operation where your expertise in Mine Technical Services will directly shape operational performance and long-term planning. We’re seeking a passionate and experienced professional to lead and drive excellence across Engineering, Geology and Survey teams.

About the Role

As the Technical Services Superintendent, you will play a pivotal leadership role, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality mine plans and technical outputs. Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will oversee the coordination and performance of key technical services to enable seamless execution of the mine plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and drive a proactive safety culture in line with our Health and Safety Management Plans
  • Lead and mentor Team Leads across Engineering, Geology and Survey functions
  • Oversee the delivery of accurate, timely mine plans, schedules and designs
  • Maintain robust mine planning, geology and survey systems and procedures
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure successful mine plan execution
  • Monitor and report on plan performance and key cost KPIs
  • Deliver Life of Mine (LOM) plans and ensure Reserve and Resource Models meet JORC and Group standards

About You

You are a results-driven technical leader with a strong background in mining operations and a passion for continuous improvement. Your experience spans across mine planning, geology, and technical systems, underpinned by a strong understanding of operational drivers and statutory requirements.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering 
  • WA Quarry Manager Certificate of Competency
  • Extensive experience in mine planning, scheduling and design
  • Proficiency in 3D mine planning and geology software systems
  • Deswik experience
  • Proven leadership experience within Technical Services teams
  • Sound knowledge of geological concepts and resource modelling
  • Strong technical report writing and presentation skills
  • Completion of WHS statutory supervisor Risk Management unit
  • Registration with AusIMM as a recognised Professional Engineer (JORC)
  • Valid WA ‘C’ class manual driver’s licence
