Underground Mine Geologist

This is a 5 month contract opportunity on a lifestyle-friendly 2/2 FIFO roster from Perth, with a well renowned and experienced team, presenting a great chance to advance your geology career with a major industry leader.

About the Role:

Perfect for a Geologist with 1-4 years of experience who has experience working underground. This role will see you joining the underground production team at an owner-operator with a great reputation as a high-performing, experienced team. The role acts and the “arms and legs” underground and you will receive strong support in the office from the very experienced team. This team has very low turnover and is an ideal place to learn and grow. There is strong collaboration between the geology team, tech services and production, giving you a great chance to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Face-mapping and sampling
• Development heading mapping
• Stope reconciliation and monitoring
• General underground safety leadership
• Oversight of two diamond drill rigs.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline.
• 1-4 years of experience as a Geologist.
• Exposure to underground operations.
• Current C-class manual driver’s license.
• Current and clean police clearance.
