Underground Mine Superintendent

Join an experienced team at this rapidly expanding operations located in the heart of Western Australia’s Kalgoorlie region.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Underground Mine Superintendent to support this fast paced underground gold mining operation. This is a pivotal leadership role, operating on a back-to-back roster with the other Mine Superintendent and holding statutory responsibilities as as required. 

About the Role:
In this leadership position, you will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of operational plans, including short-term schedules, budgets, and reforecasts, ensuring operational targets are met with available resources. You will oversee a large multidisciplinary team of underground operators with four Shift Supervisors directly reporting to you, and you will play a critical role in maintaining production performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives across site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the underground operations teams to meet operational targets.
• Monitor development and stoping compliance with plans, geotechnical controls, and safety standards.
• Drive drill & blast optimisation and support systems implementation across safety, production, and organisational areas.
• Assist in capital project planning, budgeting, and delivery.
• Ensure robust production reporting, reconciliation, and improvement evaluation processes.
• Actively support and mentor junior team members to build site capability and performance.

About You:

• Must possess a WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency 
• Experience in mechanized underground narrow vein and open stope mining.
• Proficiency in Deswik CAD/Sched, MS Office Suite, and preferably Ventsim.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and lead high-performing teams.
