Our client is a leading Australian gold producer is seeking a passionate and driven Mining Engineer – Production to join their underground operations. This is a key opportunity for a motivated mining professional with a strong foundation in Mining Engineering who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer and working on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting underground mining operations by delivering safe, accurate, and efficient plans aligned with production targets and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring mine plans are executable for the operations team
- Report daily drilling and blasting results against targets and update any variances to the plan.
- You will be actively involved in weekly schedule for drill and blast activities as well as carry out regular audits on drill and blasting results and ensure that the business follows industry best practice.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in production drill and blast
- Completed underground time (desirable)
- Proficiency in Deswik UGDB or similar design software
